History:
Pippin was originally the Tribe of Blazing Fire's deputy. After she decided she wanted nothing to do with living in a tribe, Smokestar was frantic for a new deputy. The tribe already had plenty of warriors living in it, but she wasn't sure who would be cut out to be a deputy. Smokestar journeyed to the Moonpool alone to seek some answers. Unfortunately, it was a rather cloudy night and she was unable to get in touch with StarClan. As Smokestar was getting ready to leave the pool and head back to camp, the clouds started raining. She ran into the hills, looking for shelter. What she found, however, was a Speck hiding in one of the old dens. The loner hissed at Smokestar, thinking she was a predator looking for an easy meal. Well, he wasn't going to go down without a fight.
When Speck realized Smokestar meant no harm, he scooted over and let her take shelter in her den. He used to be a beloved kittypet to his twolegs who lived far from the tribe's property. They had come on vacation and left him there. Smokestar took pity on the tom and told him about her tribe. She invited Speck to live with them. Once he accepted her invitation, the rain stopped and the clouds cleared. Smokestar realized that was Starclan approving of the tom and made the decision to invite him to be her apprentice. She gave him the name Firepaw. Once he completed his apprenticeship, he would be named Firespeck.
Smokestar took Firespeck with her on the journey to the moonpool after he became a warrior. StarClan voiced their approval and urged Smokestar to make him the tribe's new deputy.
