Medicine Cat Apprentice 10 Moons || Tom Mentor: Webgaze, StarClan Apprentices: N/A Personality: Wonderpaw is a bundle of energy. Since the tribe doesn't have an actual Medicine Cat yet, Wonderpaw goes to the Moonpool every day to learn from Medicine Cats before him. He is very adventurous and a slight hoarder. He's quite childish when it comes to play time, but he knows how to be on when a cat needs help. |
History:
Wonderkit spent no time waiting for his eyes for open. According to Springfrost, he opened his eyes only a few minutes after he was born! She was actually startled by his bright green eyes when she lifted her head to look at him after licking his fur the opposite direction. His eyes were what caused his mother to name him Wonderkit. His bright green eyes were full of wonder from the moment they opened.
As a kit, he was always breaking the rules by sneaking out of camp and fighting with the other kits. Thankfully, he was never caught sneaking out of camp.
Wonderpaw had a very short attention span and was quite energetic. He could also never bring himself to hurt another cat. He met with his mentor and Smokestar about it and they all decided he would be more useful to the tribe as a Medicine Cat. He switched over and went to the Moonpool for the very first time to speak with StarClan.
Wonderpaw has put his soul into learning all of the herbs and treating minor wounds. With leaf-bare coming soon, he's doing his best to prepare for greencough by planting a batch of catmint growing by the other herbs he had planted near the camp.

Wonderkit's green eyes blinked as they slowly adjusted to the darkness inside of the old fox den he had been staying in for the past 5 moons. Perfect! He thought to himself as he wrestled his way out from under his mother’s paw. He tiptoed out of the den into the clearing in the middle of the camp. It wasn’t a full moon yet, but it was getting close. There was plenty of light for him to navigate his way out of camp but he didn’t need it since he’s been walking the same path every night for 3 moons now. Wonderkit’s mom told him that he was named because he opened his eyes only a few minutes after birth and they were such beautiful eyes too. Eyes full of wonder. He scuffed as he thought about that, No, I’m going to actually live up to my name. He had thought when a beam of moonlight woke him up 3 moons ago. |

“Ouch.” Suddenly, the ground came up to Wonderkit’s face as he tripped over a root. “Day 8, still haven’t remembered the tree root.” He mumbled to himself as he got back on his paws and made a point to hop over the root. His ears flicked, honing in on the sounds around him, hoping to not get caught here. He was only a few days from apprenticeship and StarClan forbid if he got caught now.
After a few more minutes of leaping at piles of fallen leaves and getting distracted by bugs with a light on their butt, Wonderkit finally got to a far corner of the tribe’s territory. He headed under a large oak tree and dug between two of the tree’s roots.
He used his muzzle to push around the dirt and pulled out a round, shiny, gold ball between his jaws. He walked a few tail lengths from the base of the tree and dropped the ball on the ground. It made a soft ringing noise as something inside of it got knocked around. He could see the reflection of the moon on the bell.
Wonderkit would stay there until the moon started to set. He quickly reburied the bell and ran back to camp before his mother discovered he was missing.
The reason why he would risk getting a late apprenticeship for a bell is that the bell was symbolic to him. It taught him that he could live up to his name of Wonder and that it was also a little secret that he kept from his mother.
